How the record is built

Sources and licences

• APP Tourfacts extracted; prose never stored
• US Open Pickleball Championshipsfacts re-keyed; documents never rehosted
• WikidataCC0-1.0
• WikipediaCC BY-SA 4.0 (titles/links/ids only; no prose)

We record facts — who played, who won, the score, who medalled, when and where events take place — and credit where each came from. We never republish articles, documents, photos, footage or logos. PropBetEdge does not collect data from the PPA Tour or DUPR; their terms restrict automated collection.

Confirmed results

A result is confirmed when the event organizer publishes it, when two independent sources agree, or when two PropBetEdge analysts log the same match independently and agree on every game. Each scorecard shows its verification level and its date: the event’s last day from the official schedule, or the day the organizer published the result when that is all that is published. Scores are validated (games to 11 or 15, won by two).

Ratings

Rankings show the PickleFitter Rating, an Elo-style rating that PickleFitter computes from PPA Tour match results since June 2023 and publishes under CC BY 4.0. We reuse only PickleFitter’s published downloads, keep its snapshot date on every view, and drop the columns PickleFitter identifies as PPA facts (PPA rank, titles, paddles). It is a third-party metric, never presented as a PropBetEdge model or an official ranking.

Calendar and event status

Event dates, venues and champions come from a reviewed calendar in which every entry cites an official page and, for the PPA Tour, an independent report. Status is computed from those dates only: Upcoming, In progress or Completed. We have no licensed live-scoring feed and never label anything live.

Identity resolution

Players are linked only on evidence: a Wikidata record; a stable identifier in a licensed source (a PickleFitter player is the same as a Wikidata pickleball player or an evidence-linked PropBetEdge identity only when exactly one person matches and nothing contradicts it); a verified self-identification; or the same partnership appearing in independent sources. Two people who share a name are never merged on the name alone: a historical record whose name matches a rated professional is queued for review with its evidence, and linked only by a reviewed decision.

Corrections and disagreements

Every change to a result is kept as a revision with its source. If independent sources disagree, the result is held and reviewed — never averaged or picked automatically. Production corrections run as single audited transactions with a rollback.

Not published yet

PropBetEdge Player DNA, doubles chemistry, head-to-head records and predictions are not published. They will appear only once we hold enough independently confirmed match history to validate them honestly.
